Open Omaha gives you a behind-the-scenes look at more than 60 of the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro’s most fascinating spaces and places that shape our city. This one-weekend-only event is a city wide open house and inspired by similar concepts that have grown into not to be missed annual celebrations in cities like Denver, Minneapolis, and Chicago. VOLUNTEER
Omaha by Design is seeking friendly faces to join us as we open some of Omaha's most fascinating spaces!
Volunteers serve as greeters at one of the 70+ participating venues across the metro. They help venue staff greet visitors and keep track of attendance.
Shifts are 3.5 hours long: 9:30am-1pm and 12:30pm-4pm each day. Must be 18 years or older.

Get the full interactive experience with the Open Omaha app, developed in partnership with Nanonation. We’re excited to prioritize accessibility from the start of Open Omaha! We asked venues to analyze their space and report back to us on elements of accessibility: COVID-19 restrictions, ADA accessible routes, accessible bathrooms, quiet rooms, accessible seating, and onsite parking. These are shown on the Open Omaha app. As a disclaimer, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of each site’s self-analysis of these features; all self-evaluations are subject to bias, misinterpretation of standards, or accidental inaccuracy.
