2025 Omaha by Design Mayoral Forum

2025 Omaha by Design Mayoral Forum

The city we shape, shapes us.

On the evening of Tuesday, April 29th, Omaha by Design hosted a dynamic conversation centered on the future of Omaha’s growth and development, including issues of affordable housing, multi-modal transportation sustainability, neighborhood investment and more.

In the fourth iteration of a quadrennial tradition, the 2025 Omaha by Design Mayoral Forum was honored to feature the City of Omaha mayoral candidates – Mayor Jean Stothert and Douglas County Treasurer John Ewing – in a moderated forum highlighting each candidate’s vision for the city’s future.

The forum was moderated by David Levy, partner at Baird Holm and President of the Omaha by Design Board of Directors. Candidates were asked a series of questions prepared by the forum community partners, followed by select written questions from the audience.

For those who may have missed it, a recording of the evening’s full program is available below. We invite you to tune in and hear for yourself how each leader would guide our city going forward.
